Artificial Intelligence: Impacts, Challenges, and Opportunities in the Economic, Legal, Administrative, and Communication Sciences

KAIRÓS, Journal of Economic, Legal and Administrative Sciences, published by the Faculty of Political Sciences of the National University of Chimborazo, announces the opening of the call for papers for a thematic section devoted to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its impact across different fields of the applied social sciences.

Artificial intelligence has emerged as one of the most significant technological transformations of recent decades, with profound implications for the economy, organizational management, law, accounting, finance, communication, and education. Its rapid expansion has fostered improvements in productivity, automation, and data analysis, while also raising regulatory, ethical, and social challenges related to employment, algorithmic transparency, and technological gaps in Latin America.

In this context, the journal invites researchers and academics to submit original articles, both theoretical and applied, addressing, among others, the following thematic areas:

  • Economics and artificial intelligence: impact on productivity, employment, economic growth, and digital transformation in emerging markets.

  • Management, governance, and innovation: process automation, AI-assisted decision-making, digital government, and disruptive technologies.

  • Law, ethics, and regulation: legal frameworks for AI, data protection, algorithmic accountability, and ethical challenges.

  • Accounting, finance, and digital auditing: applications of AI in internal control, auditing, financial services, fintech, and accounting transparency.

  • Communication, education, and society: generative AI, content production, digital literacy, and technological gaps in Latin America.

All manuscripts will undergo double-blind peer review and must strictly comply with the journal’s editorial guidelines.
